Fatal error: Please help!

Hi,

I tried upgrading from 1.82 to 1.85 - I overwrote all the new files and ran the install script and clicked on "Do nothing" link. But it gives me this error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/sr352/public_html/tiki-setup_base.php on line 334

What I also did was delete a folder called "var", I hope I did not do any mistake.

Please help me repair my tiki!

"var" is a essential part of a linux system.

I guess for you its time to get the installation media out again.

I deleted all the files of 1.85 by FTP and re-uploaded 1.82 and ran the install with "Do nothing", and everything seems to be back to normal now...

So now, do you suggest, I keep the var and all the directories and just overwrite all 1.85 files over the 1.82 files...will that then upgrade the system without problems?

another question - how do I make sure I have run setup.sh to set the permissions? I don't know how to run it, as I'm Forbidden from running it thro the browser.

Somehow, that seems to have worked - I'm now running 1.85...Yay!

I think uploading everything in Passive mode in FTP worked...not sure.

Anyway, thanks Damian!
