cannot expand quicktags

I have a fresh install of v1.9, when trying to create an HTML page, I click on the quicktags link to expand the options available, like on this website, and I dont get anything. The JavaScript window in Firefox tells me the following:

Error: toggleBlock is not defined
Source File: javascript:toggleBlock('quicktags');
Line: 1

Any ideas, this worked fine in the old stable release, I totally deleted that one and started fresh with 1.9. I'm sure it's a setting somewhere, I have looked everywhere I can think of in the admin areas, but am basically lost. Thanks for the support!!

Having the same problem, but in IE. Don;t think it can be templates as it's a fresh install and am a bit stumped.

Any clues?

I have the same problem too with a fresh upgrade and a fresh install. There was once when I could actually expand the Quicktags with the fresh upgrade. Couldn't remember why though.

Hi! Finally, can expand Quicktags in my IE and Firefox browsers. So, answering my own question and hopefully this answers yours as well. 😊

To change or double-check the settings...

In IE:
1. Choose Tools > Internet Options.
2. Choose the Security tab.
3. Click the Custom Level button.
4. Scroll to the Scripting section.
5. For Active Scripting, choose Enable (or Prompt).
6. Click Ok twice.

In Firefox:
1. Choose Tools > Options.
2. In left column, choose Web Features.
3. On right of "Enable Javascript", click the Advanced button.
4. Clear the check box for "Disable or replace context menus."
