File permissions and htaccess
Hi!
I just installed Tiki like a week ago and still learning.. ๐
I cannot understand why the .htaccess file in the root folder has the permission 777?
Is not that very insecure to have it like that?
I been using WordPress a lot, and If I had it like that on WP, then it's like begging to get hacked.
I've attempted to set it to 400 instead but it then automatically reverts back to 777, so I do not understand this really.
I hope someone could be kind enough to explain this to me. ๐
I have been looking on this page: https://doc.tiki.org/File+and+Folder+permissions" class="wiki wikinew text-danger tips">https://doc.tiki.org/File+and+Folder+permissions but it's a bit confusing. What is the recommended permissions for files and folders for the most secure setup on the following?
A.) Folders
B.) Files
C.).htaccess files
Right now I have set folders to 775, files to 604 and .htaccess to 604 for for now. I have installed it on my host, (shared web hosting)/linux).
Thanks a lot in advance for any answers!
Kind regards
