Release110Checklist

Feel free to create new wiki pages and link to them from here if you feel this page is too long. On one hand, it can be easier browsing if it is all on one page, but as information is being added, it is getting longer than before, and then browsability drops... 😊

Note also that bugs can now be flagged (through a checkbox) as relating to this release process. This checkbox can be found under the grouping "Related to project" in the bug tracker. The page that lists the bugs Release110 tagged bugs


This is a centralized checklist for listing all TikiWiki features in the perspective of stabilizing a 1.10 version. This is part of the ReleaseProcess1_10_0.

Please also refer to Branch110 for more general developer information, and Release110Beta1Todo for a more micro-list.

Contact Us #a00: ???address obfuscation problem Contact

  • #a00:Contact address doesn't seem to be obfuscated.
  • Improve on 1.9 implementation, something like this: If contact address is a link, make the resulting address one that can be readily edited in email client after it is clicked. In, 1.9, a TO: like "AT DOT " is created in email client, apparently due to obfuscation parentheses, which is hard for user to know how to edit. Copy/paste works with the current (1.9) obfuscation, but if this is the intention, the address shouldn't be a link.

  • Stores latest release version at the end of an array of valid Tiki release versions.
  • For post-release versions, flag as a CVS tree version and add an appropriate version tag to clearly identify the actual version running (eg. 1.10a vs. 1.9.8.3 cvs)
  • Also stores the Star being used as the version identifier.
  • All of these values made available via Smarty; no longer have to update multiple templates, just update lib/setup/versioning.class.php
