    The files in my wiki seem to have some strange side effects after upgrading to 1.9.1 (or 1.9.2?).

    I have a few questions:

    1. The permissions for folders such as backups, db, dump, styles, temp, templates, templates_c, whelp were set to 777 before running tiki-install.php because the file seem to demand for such settings. However, after upgrading/installation, are the permissions supposed to remain as such?
    2. While clicking on the Admin > General page, I sometimes see an error page stating that the wiki was not set up properly. When I backtracked and then clicked on the General icon again. All seems fine. How do I correct this intermittent problem?

    These directories must be readeable and writeable by the server if yu use all the tikiwiki features. If you don't use the feature to edit templates, you don't need to have a templates files writeable. If you don't use the feature to modify a style, idem for styles files. I don't know if such a detailed list has been written

    Do you have an error just after "TikiWiki is not properly set up:". Ussually it says was is not properly set. Do you come from a cache clean?

    On looking back, the error was probably because I changed the permissions of one of the folders.

    A strange though is that - one of my tikis does not have many of those folders set to 777 and the admin works just fine. It has similar features turned on like the other tikis.
