    one simple question: why do all pages end with .php except the tiki-map-page? is there a reason to make once a different ending?

    I reallized there was something different, when I tried out 1.8rc3 on my laptop and pointed to tiki-map.phtml and then saw the code of the page, because my apache webserver didn't recognize the phtml-ending...

    I assume yes but can't remember easily. You should ask franck about it. Probably ask him to write it somewhere too since it's likely that we get the question often, like on doc.tw.o's Maps Details

    The Tiki Map feature requires the installation of the Map Server software on the host. I'm sure we have pages here on tw.o that detail the installation if your interested.
