    Hello everyone.


    I've asked this question on irc, but I'd just like to double check it here.

    I'm curious as to what the integration between the log and wiki is.
    I know I can link blog stuff to wiki.. but will the link in the wiki be created automagically?

    What I want to have ideally is talk about MyProject in todays blog. Blog entry gets a link to MyProject wiki entry. MyProject wiki entry in return gets a link back to todays blog entry.

    Is this possible?

    A possibility for one direction of the info flow is putting a single-blog RSS feed in your wiki page. Then when the wiki page loads, it'll get the latest (more or less, depending on how often the RSS is told to refresh) posts in that blog (post titles and times).

    The only problem with this is that there seems to be a bug in single-blog RSS feeds right now. In my case I can make the feed and preview a module with the RSS as data, but if I try to save it and view a page with that module, my whole Tiki dies (nothing more gets served until I delete the module from the db table).

    I'm not sure if there's a way to update blog post information automatically with wiki page changes. Anyway, it seems like RSS is the best way to do this kind of thing automagically, in general.

    Are you talking about a kind of trackback link in a wiki page?
    i.e. the link is generated in page a when page b links to page a.

    I'd like to know whether it's possible too.

    Gary's solution works fine for some cases, I'd guess, but I'd love to enable bloggers to ping say page X on a wiki (whether or not they are using Tiki) and have a view of who's talking about page X where.

    Maybe it could be done in a module, or is that plain silly?

    Could you describe the communication flow a little more? I'm not clear on where you want the update information to appear and what the update is reporting.

    Also, just a general FYI regarding my earlier post in this thread, a lot of people probably know this already, but in case somebody does a search and turns up this thread, single-blog RSS feeds are working now; they got fixed since my old post.

    Sorry for not being clear - probably because I hadn't got it clear in my head! 😕

    What I had in mind (and I don't know whether this holds for dmitrym) was something like this:

    1. all trackbacks to the wiki page are shown in a module much like the shoutbox I see to the right of this forum
    2. info needed in the module is: Blog name (and link), Blog excerpt - RSS of the pings probably optional


    But thinking about it more, another option that would be nice is to have a page that lists all the pings to the site, i.e. a combination of all the above. Or again having the trackbacks as an adjunct to the comments as per many blogs.

    Hope that makes a bit more sense?
