[+] in Wiki

posts: 29 United States

I have seen examples on this site where a user is presented with a [+] symbol. When you then click on that, a bunch of text magically appears. When I look at the raw text file, I see
{INCLUDE(page=>SomeWikiPage)}{INCLUDE}
Come what may, I have tried this on my pages and it does not work.
I did upgrade to 1.8.3 CVS as of today (May 21, 2004)
Any ideas?

INCLUDE is a plugin to show another wiki page on the current page. You want the collapsable sections, so look for a + or - next to a *. I believe the documentation at http://doc.tikiwiki.org covers the wiki section completely. and might make a good evenings read.

Hi Damain!
So I may have had two things which didn't quite work 😀.
The example page I refer to is HowToDev on this site. There is a section called Notice bugs which is collapsable. I failed to notice the '-' next to the '!'. Once I saw that, the world became a better place 😉.
However, it also has the INCLUDE plugin (to get the ReportBug page). I got the collapsable heading stuff to work. The {INCLUDE()} just shows as plain text on my site. As I said, I did a CVS on 1.8.3 this morning. Could something be missing?
Thanks again.

Damian,
The mystery about {INCLUDE} is partially solved. When I check PLUGINMANAGER I see that the plugin INCLUDE exists on this-here website, but on my install it does not. It is just not reported as existing by PLUGINMANAGER. BTW: in the on-screen HELP in the edit screen, you can select plugin help. It does not showup there either. Is that a CVS issue? Anybody?
Thanks

INCLUDE is in the lib/wiki-plugin-dist, and needs to be copied to your lib/wiki-plugin before it will work. I believe it was done for security reasons.
